Terms & Conditions

1) Service Agreement:
-The Sitter agrees to provide pet care services as outlined in the booking details and also as agreed upon the registration of his/her application on becoming a Pet Sitter.
-The Client agrees to pay for all services through the CookieWalks platform/application as agreed in the specific booking.
-Any additional services or changes must be agreed upon both partied and updated in the booking details. In case of any delay that may arise, it is obligatory and it is strictly required to be booked through the CookieWalks platform/application in order for the booking to be updated and to be seen/appeared in the CookieWalks platform/application for our acknowlegment.
-Please note that if any incident/occasion arises and/or may happen, CookieWalks has no, and accepts no liability whatsoever.

2) Responsibilities of the Pet Owner:
To provide accurate/precise and detailed information about the pet(s), including any medical/health conditions, any behaviour issues, feeding instructions and emergency contact details.
-To ensure the Pet Sitter has access to the home, including keys or any security codes where is necessary or required. Ensures that all valuable items are not kept unattended or easy to be accessed in order to avoid any possible theft or braking of any item whatsoever. In case of any missing of any personal belonging or item or stolen good, CookieWalks accepts no liability whatsoever.
-To provide all necessary supplies (e.g. food, medication, leash, litter, wipes etc, and make sure to provide all details of the pet's accessorties) for the pet(s). If in any case the property is under renovation or there are any obstacles, the Client must inform and give these specific information in the specific booking for the Sitter to know.

3) Responsibilities of the Pet Sitter:
-It is a requirement, in order for any person to sign up and becoming either a pet sitter or a dog walker, to be 18+ years old. Any applicant less than 18 years old will be disapproved, therefore he/she will not be able to proceed further. Any fraudulent act i.e presenting a fake ID/age will make the applicant not meeting the criteria.
-All the applicants, on becoming a pet sitter or a dog walker, upon the registration, a short online interview will be followed where each applicant should present his/her ID card on the camera for the pet owners’s safety. Please note that this video will be recorded and kept in our records safely.
-Perform the agreed upon services professionally and with care.
-Ensure the safety and well-being of the pet(s) during the booking period.
-Maintain the cleanliness of the pet's living enviroment and dispose of waste appropriatetly.
-Make sure will complete the tasks as described in the booking,any failure to complete the tasks will be considered as a non accomplished and incomplete mission/task, therefore may not be payable.
-Communicate promptlly with the pet owner regarding updates or concerns. In case of any incident or occasion arises or occurs during the booking period(pet walk, pet sit that might harm/affect the pet or the pet Sitter, CookieWalks accepts no liability whatsoever. The pet owner is responsible and liable to answer promptly if a concern may arises and the professional wants to communicate with him/her in order to provide/give the appropriate guidance for protecting the pet(s) in any situation. If any pet needs urgent medical treatment for any reason whatsoever, the pet(s) owner should give the consent to the Sitter to take the pet to the Vet. If he/she fails to answer, the Sitter may proceed on his/her own to take the pet to the Vet immediatetly.

4) Cancellations and Refunds:
Cancellation Policies may vary (e.g. flexible, moderate, or strict). Pet owners should refer to the specific Sitter's cancellation policy listed on their profile.
-Refunds are processed according to the CookieWalks platform/application guidelines.
-Any cancellations to be made by the Client within 4-5 days prior to the begging of the specific booking is fully refundable, however the money themselves will not be returned to your bank account but will be credited in your CookieWalks' account with points/credits with the same value for your next booking.
-Any cancellations to be made by the Client within and prior to 3 days, 75% will be refundable (again with the credits method as described above), and the rest 25% will be deposited into the Sitter's bank account as compensation.
-Any cancellations to be made by the Client within the range of 2 days before the beginning of the booking, 50% is refundable (again with the credits method as described above), and the rest 50% will be deposited into the Sitter's bank account as compensation.
-Any cancellations to be made within the range of 24 hours approximately, before the beginning of the booking, are 100% non-refundable and 100% will be deposited to the Sitter's bank account as compensation.

Cancellation of Professionals (Sitters).
(a) In case of any emergency cancellation whatsoever, CookieWalks will ensure to find/provide same services to the Client's specific booking immediatetly, perhaps with another Sitter-member of same qualifications in order to avoid any further inconvenience whatsoever.
(b) In case the Sitter wishes to cancel the booking for any reason, personal reason or for any other possible reason, CookieWalks ensure to find/provide same services to the Client's specific booking immediatetly, with another Sitter-member of same qualifications with no extra charge in order to avoid any inconvenience.

5) Liability
-The Pet Sitter and also CookieWalks are not liable for injuries or illnesses the pet(s) may sustain due to any pre-existing conditions, due to any unforseen accidents or due to the bahaviour of the pet(s).
-Pet owners are encouraged to provide accurate and precice information about any behavioural or medical issues that could affect the pet's care as also described and explained in the Terms 1,2,3.
-CookieWalks is not liable and accepts no liability for any pet fight, pet loss, as a result of a human error and human's negligence performed by the Sitter. In such a case the liability falls on the human/pesron that made/performed such an error or performed negligently or the incident occured as a result of his/her negligence.
Any incident/event/occasion happens outside the period of the booking service, CookieWalks is not concerned and therefore has no liability whatsoever.
-In case the sitter decides to smoke inside the property area, CookieWalks has no liability whatsoever in case of any arson or any damage whatsoever including carpets, sofas, armchairs, chairs, beds etc.

6) Emergencies
-In case of any medicalk emergency, the Sitter will contact the pet owner and follow the provided instructions. If the owner cannot be reached, the Sitter will seek Veterinary care and make decisions (please see also Terms 2,3) in the best interest of the pet(s).
-Any Veterinary costs incurred during the booking are the responsibility of the pet owner.

7) Behaviour and Aggression
-The pet owner must disclose any history of aggression or behavioural issues upon registering on to the CookieWalks platform/application and upon making the booking and to make sure the characteristics of the pet(s) are precice with the ones described when making the registration.
-If the Sitter, for any reason, feels threatened or unsafe, they reserve the right to terminate the booking immediatetly. Refunds or compensation for incomplete booking will follow CookieWalks's policies.
-In case any occasion/incident/accident occurs due to any pet's behaviour and aggression, CookieWalks accepts no liability whatsoever and has no responsibility for any incident resulted by such aggression or behaviour.

8) Confidentiality
-The pet Sitter agrees to keep all personal and home information shared by the pet owner confidential.
-The pet owner agrees to respect and comply with the Sitter's privacy (and vice versa) and not share any personal contact details outside the CookieWalks platform/application.
-Also for any personal belongings or goods please see details on the Terms 2 & 3, more specifically on the "responsibilites of the pet owner" & "responsibilites of the pet Sitter".
-Any incident/event/occasion happens outside the period of the booking service, CookieWalks is not concerned and therefore has no liability whatsoever.

9) Dispute Resolutions
-Any disputes should first be addressed though the CookieWalks customer support team via e-mail. The CookieWalks resolution team will ensure that will reply as soon as possible based on the Terms & Conditions and guidelines provided on the CookieWalks platform/application.
-For precice Terms, it is best to refer to CookieWalks official documentation or your specific pet Sitter's profile. These Terms provide a general framework but may vary based on location or individual agreements.

10) Payment Terms & Responsibility
All payments are made directly to the bank account(the one given on the registration) directly via Stripe when the tasks are completed. When a specific booking is made, between the sitter and the client, there are specific tasks to be followed which both parties have accepted upon making the booking, however each time a task is to be completed, the sitter must provide by uploading relevant evidence/information to the platform/app, if the sitter fails to do so, the specific booking is deemed to be incompleted, therefore the mission may not be payable. If the sitter, for any reason, whatsoever fails to provide information/evidence about the tasks immediately to the platform/application, he/she should immediately upload the information/evidence exactly after upon finishing the mission.
